Our Solicitors

Peter Lever – Senior Partner
Peter Lever is our current Senior Partner. He immediately joined the firm after he qualified in 1962 and became a partner in 1965. He deals with property matters generally although he now tends to specialise in Residential Property Development. In his spare time he is a keen fell walker.

Richard Hornby – Managing Partner
Richard Hornby is our Managing Partner. He qualified in 1983, joined the firm in 1986 and became a partner the following year. Richard has extensive experience in the broad spectrum of property work generally but now these days with something of an emphasis on Commercial Conveyancing, Landlord & Tenant matters and Equity Release. Outside of the office he is heavily involved with his local rugby club.

Nigel Kelly – Partner
Nigel Kelly qualified in 1976 and has worked in the Harrow area since 1985. He joined the firm as a partner in 1994. Like Richard Hornby he has extensive experience in the broad spectrum of property work generally. He spends one week each year walking a section of the route from Lands End to John O'Groats.

Howard Smith – Partner
Howard Smith joined the firm in 1987, qualified in 1990 and became a partner in 2001. He specialises in Civil Litigation, Personal Injury, Family Law and Employment Law. Outside of the office he is a keen footballer and squash player.

Suzi Hornby – Partner
Suzi Hornby qualified in 1991 and joined the firm the following year. She became a partner in 2001. She specialises in Tax Planning, Probate matters, Wills and Trusts.

Simon Glick
Simon qualified in 2002 and immediately joined the firm as an assistant solicitor. Like both Richard Hornby and Nigel Kelly, Simon deals with the broad spectrum of property work generally.

Grazyna Scotford
Grazyna qualified in 1998 joined the firm as an assistant solicitor in 2003. Like Suzi Hornby she deals with Tax Planning, Probate matters, Wills, Trusts and matters and Powers of Attorney. She speaks Polish fluently.

Neil Darby
Neil qualified in 1999 and joined the firm as a senior solicitor in 2011. Like Howard Smith he deals with Civil Litigation, Personal Injury, Employment Law, Property Litigation and Commercial Disputes.

Michael Hornby
Michael Hornby is the former Senior Partner of the firm and now acts as a consultant. He originally joined the firm back in 1952 and became a partner in 1955. He still deals with a variety of non-contentious matters and continues to provide the firm with the benefit of his advice gleaned from his many years of experience in the law. Two of his four children are partners in the firm.
